Raw food for dogs

Picture
For our dog's optimum nutrition we only need to follow nature's example and supply as near as possible a whole uncooked small animal.

It's wonderfully simple – no grains or other bulking agents, no low-grade processed remains from the human food industry, no special extra ingredients needed, no added vitamins. Just as near as possible a whole raw animal. In this case a free range chicken.

Biting into and chewing a whole animal keeps your dog’s teeth strong, clean and white and her gums pale pink and healthy.

The bones of uncooked chicken are soft and digestible and provide minerals, great roughage and clean the gut, which helps prevent infections and parasites (cooked chicken and other animal bones become brittle and are not safe for your dog to eat).

Because all of the animal (in our case chicken carcass with some muscle left, neck, liver and heart) is digestible, your dog will only have a small amount of roughage to expel after digestion. Yes, almost odourless tiny firm poos!  What a difference to deal with!

Raw food is associated with less allergies, skin problems, arthritis, and digestive problems.

What we offer

You can join our Raw Food Club and collect our special packs of local free range chicken whole chicken carcasses with some meat, skin and fat, and the heart, liver and neck.

All our chickens are of top human grade, as supplied to Riverford Farm, Jamie Oliver and the royal wedding lunch in the summer of 2018.

The chicken is very fresh. It is packed, delivered and in our freezer in less than 24 hours from dispatch.

You can come and collect the chicken from our farm near Buckfastleigh.

Cost of food to club members
£2 for a 2kg bag containing two carcases with muscle skin and fat, two necks and two hearts and two livers. We also sell raw cat food:  frozen chicken necks and hearts in 500gm packs.
