Dog holidays

Doggie holidays with the Devon Dog Lady

While you are away, your dog can come to live with our family in the farmhouse on our 16-acre smallholding near Buckfastleigh (6 miles from Totnes).

Our doggie guests love coming here. We think it should be a real holiday for them:  in the company of other dogs and with woodland and streams, fields and meadows to explore together (as well as ponies and sheep to get used to).

We offer a real home from home, with a good fire in the woodburner and sheepskins for cosy lolling around together with my dogs.

In some cases I am already working with the owner of the dog, improving the human-dog communication. A stay here means that I will be able to support any changes happening at home with the leadership and routines and boundaries that we offer here.

Sometimes people first send their dogs to me for holidays and then go on to decide to improve an area of their dog behaviour and relationship.

Food for your dog

We feed all our guests on the best locally produced, free range chicken.

Our house rules

Your dog needs to be OK with other dogs as they will be all sleeping round the fire in our big kitchen. Your dog can also improve their social skills when they stay here.
